Food, Facts, & Futures: Walking & Tasting Tour of Lower East Side & Chinatown

  • Strauss Square Rutgers Street New York, NY, 10002 United States (map)

Woven into our walking tour of markets, small eateries, old & new restaurants are the narratives of garment workers, tenant activists, civic leaders, artists and activists devoted to positive change and progress. Back by popular demand on October 7, the Foodtober23 Tour winds around through two of New York’s oldest & most vibrant  immigrant neighborhoods.

The walking tour will feature samplings of the neighborhoods' delicious offerings, visits to local highlights and hotspots, and stories of social activism, immigration, and the changing fabric of these vibrant neighborhoods. Today, both are experiencing historic challenges and changes. Sign up today to join Foodtober’s Guide - Rocky Chin - founding member of the Asian American Student Association, the Association of Asian American Yale Alumni (AAAYA), 40+ year resident of the Lower East Side - for this special event.

Ticket price: $35 (very limited capacity). All proceeds benefit YaleNYC and AAAYA.
